Technology integrates. Technology scatters. If the latter, link. Which is what I'll do to help my readers to resources I've collected on a research area called Personal Information Management.

I've come to this area of research primarily through the work of Dr. William P. Jones of the Information School of the University of Washington. Now, he has just published two new books on the topic (see links to more info on my blog, PIM for Gecks). If I remember right, these books might be the first on the subject.

We take PIM for granted because of its "everydayness" but Dr. Jones' books and his continuing research with the Keeping Found Things Found Project should help us understand better the role of information in our lives.
